"Painting With Fire" Hits a Milestone
“Painting With Fire” got its 100th review yesterday on Amazon.com and it was five stars. Yay! For all of you who have written reviews – the good, the bad and even the occasional ugly (Some people really hate characters who swear when they find bodies), thank you for taking the time to read and acknowledge my book’s existence. The vast majority of the reviews have been overwhelmingly positive. “Painting With Fire” has an average of 3.7 stars at the moment. Not too shabby, considering the amazing “Gone Girl” by Gillian Flynn has 3.9. I am really grateful.
If you’re curious about the reviews, feel free to read them at www.amazon.com/Painting-Fire-Artistic-Murder-Mystery-ebook/dp/B00II5IX6W/.
But a word of caution. There are spoilers! Terrible spoilers. I have grappled with that as a writer. They say you should never respond to reviews, so I haven’t. But it's kind of awkward when people say who did it when they review a whodunit. It’s a bit cruel to the prospective reader. So if you are in that category, maybe just ignore the reviews all together, read the book and make up your own mind. Thanks!
